You are provided with 2x batteries Also, simply clip it on to your Wii controller and leave it on charge, red LED indicator informs you that controller is on charge, when fully charged you get a blue LED indicating full charge. Charging stand power is provided by a USB charge cable connected from the Wii to the stand, it is an amazing design is made to match the Wii console.
